TV Wall Mounting Cost in Adelaide: What Actually Affects the Price?

One of the most common questions I get asked is simply: "how much does it cost to mount my TV?" The honest answer is that it depends on a few specific factors and understanding them upfront helps you get an accurate quote rather than a guess.

Wall type is the biggest factor. Mounting into timber stud walls is usually the most straightforward job. Brick veneer and solid masonry need different anchors and typically take a bit longer.

TV size and weight matter too. A 43-inch TV on a basic fixed mount is a much smaller job than a 75-inch TV on a full-motion mount — bigger, heavier TVs need stronger mounting hardware and more careful installation.

Do you need a new power point behind the TV? If there's no power source near where the TV is going, adding one (or having an electrician add one) is a separate cost worth planning for.

What devices do you have that need to be connected to the TV? This is often an underestimated cost when getting a quote. The cables that come with your devices are usually not long enough once the TV is wall-mounted, as the additional height can require longer cables. These may need to be upgraded to ensure everything can be connected properly and neatly.

I always assess these factors on-site or more so, over the phone before quoting, so you know exactly what you're paying for rather than being surprised afterward.

There's no one-size-fits-all price for TV wall mounting, but there shouldn't be any mystery in it either.
